Where to Find Important Recall Information
If you’re wondering if your car, child seat, tires or even the school bus your child is riding in has been subject to a recall, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) maintains a website called www.recalls.gov that provides recall information including vehicle and equipment campaigns from 1966 to present. The campaigns include motor vehicle products which experienced a safety-related defect or did not comply with federal motor vehicle safety standards. NHTSA is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
